Artist, Murray Bowman and the Grimsby Public Art Gallery’s first curator was honoured this past weekend at the opening of a retrospective exhibit of his work. Murray survived a traumatic accident in the early 1980’s and with the support of family and the brain injury community he overcame many obstacles to continue painting, drawing and writing.

Since he passed away 2 years ago, his niece, Kate Pyatt spent many months gathering works from friends, family and patrons and with director Rhona Wenger and others brought then to the walls of the place he first made his fine contribution in the early days of the gallery.

The show continues until June 10th.
