Dr. Felipe Gonzalez was born in Ecuador, South America. He immigrated to Canada in 1971, where he has served Canadians for the past 35 years. He has worked in different capacities within the Hispanic-Christian community. He has also worked with international ministries and has had the opportunity to visit and minister in different countries within the Americas, Europe and Africa. In 2000, Canada Christian College granted him an honorary degree as Doctor of Divinity. On the heels of this recognition, Dr. Gonzalez founded the Hispanic Pastors Association “Unidos Para Orar” (United for Prayer). It is a strong organization designed to unite the Hispanic pastors in prayer and fellowship. He also works tirelessly with different denominations and ethnicities to bridge the differences that divide and to ultimately bring unity to the church. Dr. Gonzalez has felt a responsibility to continue to work with the Latin American community and so he works with ‘Tell My People” an equipping centre for church leaders in Latin America based in Dallas, Texas. Today, Dr. Gonzalez serves as Senior Pastor at Beraca Church and resides in Toronto with his wife Laura. They have 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He continues his arduous work to bring unity amongst the different ethnicities, denominations, and organizations in Canada. Everyone who knows Dr. Gonzalez can attest to the fact that has helped and impacted thousands of Canadian and Hispanic people.
On the occasion of Canada’s 150th, Dr. Gonzalez wishes her a happy birthday!
