Spruce Lane Farm, located in Bronte Creek Provincial Park, hosted a Victorian festival during the twelve days following Christmas. Festive games and activities, such as a reindeer search and scavenger hunt, were set up in both the house and barns. A gift shop in one of the barns, manned by Friends of Bronte Creek volunteers, offered hot apple cider, hot chocolate, icebox cookies and more. Volunteers also demonstrated hands-on crafts using household tools of the time period. All Friends of Bronte Creek volunteers were dressed in period costumes, lending visitors a truly authentic experience of Christmas Past and Victorian holiday traditions. For more information regarding events at Bronte Creek, please visit BronteCreek.org.
