On Saturday, February 23rd, Eden Food for Change hosted their inaugural CNOY Walkathon in Mississauga Erin Mills, joining thousands of Canadians across the country raising money for hungry, homeless and hurting people in our community. The 2, 5, and 10 km walk started/finished at South Common Community Centre with a halfway rest stop at Peel Regional Police 11 Division headquarters. A light, warm meal was served at the Community Centre after the walk. The event raised over $36,000 or 121% of the event’s fundraising target and the donations are still coming in! Thank you to the 30 walk teams, 20 event sponsors/community partners, and over 100 volunteers for helping make this a successful, safe, and memorable event!

Eden Food for Change has been serving the people in western Mississauga living with food insecurity since 1989.

A sincere thank you to the sponsors, volunteers, and walkers who helped make this event such a success.
