WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU AND WHY?
My parents inspire me. They came to Milton as young immigrants in 1955 and they achieved many goals, while at the same time contributing to their community.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?
My first job was as a Summer student for the Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area.
WHAT DOES THE WORD COMMUNITY MEAN TO YOU?
Helping each other to achieve common goals, such as the Milton District Hospital expansion fundraising, is what community means to me.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?
My family is my greatest achievement.
WHAT BRINGS YOU THE GREATEST JOY OR SATISFACTION?
Helping people in our community brings me the greatest joy.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IF THE WHOLE COMMUNITY WERE LISTENING?
Milton is my hometown. Let’s work together to make Milton the place that we are all proud to call our home!
WHAT ARE SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT YOU?
– I recently gave my 150th blood donation to the Canadian Blood Services.
– I got the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2007 by the Milton Chamber of Commerce.
– I am a Milton Transitional Housing board member
– I am the Milton Santa Claus Parade marshal and vice-president
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE?
Hunt for Red October is my favourite movie.
WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH?
Rick Mercer comedies always make me laugh.
WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN?
My parents always told my brothers and I that “You only get out of life (or anything else) what you put into it.”
WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT VERY FEW PEOPLE WOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I received my glider pilot’s licence at the age of 18 through the Milton Air Cadets.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE VACATION SPOT?
My backyard with a view of the escarpment.
