July 1st was dyed a bright shade of crimson after Port Credit’s Paint the Town Red. The Hazel McCallion Canada Day Parade commenced an energetic day with their performances. John Bozzo (chair), the Paint the Town Red Board of Directors and it’s many enthusiastic dedicated volunteers held a successful 15th annual Canada Day Celebration! Opening ceremonies followed with Cake Cutting. If the parade didn’t get you hooked, then all that delicious cake was sure to reel you in. The little ones also had much to enjoy, including free activities and shows. At 10 pm the festivities came to an end, but not without a bang! Fireworks lit up the night sky in Port Credit, signaling the end of this year’s Paint the Town Red.
