There was plenty of music, dancing and celebrating during this year’s 20th annual Tim Horton’s Southside Shuffle event that occurred in Port Credit Memorial Park from Friday, Sept 7 through Sunday, Sept 9. It all started 20 years ago by founder and artistic director Chuck Jackson’s vision to bring the blues to Port Credit. This festival now draws over 75,000 people worldwide and the Mississauga Arts Council has awarded it as “Mississauga’s Best Festival” with the MARTY award.
The main stage headliners included Coco Montoya, Savoy Brown and the Legendary Downchild Blues Band. Rabba Fine Foods Street Shuffle opened with a memorable street parade and featured bands and acts performing at various locations up and down Lakeshore Road East. So much talent and so much fun made this event a huge success. Thank you to all the volunteers, organizers, sponsors and performers that helped make this 20th anniversary a special celebration.
