Mandarin MS Walk May 26, 2019 Mississauga Valley Park. My husband Michael Marianetti was diagnosed with secondary progressive Multiple Sclerosis just after we got engaged in 1998. He was 24 years old. We have 3 beautiful children, Mikeila, Noah and Tatiana. Our oldest daughter Mikeila first introduced us to the MS walk about 4 years ago. The tradition continued thanks to our cousin and team leader, Jazmine Sangalang who has since helped organize Michael’s Mission team to join the walk every year. Michael’s team along with thousands of other participants from around the country who do the walk annually are on a mission to finding a cure. According to the MS Society of Canada, Canada has one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis (MS) in the world, with an estimated 77,000 Canadians living with the disease. While it is most often diagnosed in young adults aged 20 to 49, younger children and older adults are also diagnosed with the disease. You can follow me, Michael and our caregiving family’s journey about living with faith, hope and MS on Instagram @lavishedingrace.
